In Loving Memory of William Darrell “Buzz” Bang
William Darrell “Buzz” Bang, 71, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his wife and family on February 25, 2024, following a brief but courageous battle with esophageal cancer. He is survived by his wife Debbie, sons Chris (Ashley) and Billy, grandchildren Mason and Brinley, brother David Bang (Rian), sister Mary Birt, and sister Laurie Wood. He is preceded in death by his parents William H. Bang and Nancy Reynolds Warren.
Buzz had an unwavering commitment to his family. Marrying his high school sweetheart, they built a life together over fifty years, creating a home filled with warmth, love, and shared laughter. As a father and grandfather, he instilled a strong moral compass in his children and grandchildren by providing love, guidance, and support in every situation.
Buzz’s faith in God provided him with strength and resilience and guided him with grace throughout his life’s journey. He believed in America, proudly serving in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. His dedication to hard-work and outgoing personality led to a successful 40-year career with Motorola.
Appreciating both the finer things and simple pleasures, Buzz had a zest for life. He reveled in the beauty of art, the power of music, and the adventure of fine food and wine. His warmth, honesty, and loyalty made him a cherished friend to many, leaving an indelible mark on the lives of those who had the privilege of knowing him.
As we remember Buzz Bang, let us celebrate the joy he brought into our lives, the love he shared, and the enduring impact of his spirit.
