William “Bill” Edward Barger, 59, of Port Republic, Maryland passed away on March 25, 2023, with family by his side. Bill was born on April 9th,1963 in Cheverly, Maryland. Bill is survived by his wife Theresa Clark as well as his former spouse Rose Barger and their sons Nicholas William Barger and wife, Cara Barger and Shayne Charles Barger and fiancé Casey Hall. He was a proud grandfather “Granddad Bootstraps” to Shayne Jr., Mya, and Morgan Barger.
Bill spent over forty years in the IBEW Local 26 electrical union as a Journeyman electrician and worked on many large projects in the DMV.
Bill enjoyed boating, waterskiing, and snow skiing and instilling the same passion in his sons. He was an active follower of the Washington Redskins and Capitals teams. His enthusiasm for heavy metal rock never wavered. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and going to his community beach.
Bill was preceded in death by his dearly loved sister Cheryl Barger Kibler, and beloved grandparents William Sr. and Helen Barger.
He is survived by his father William Barger Jr. and his Stepmother Carolyn, his wife Theresa Clark, sons Nicholas and Shayne, daughter in laws Cara and Casey Hall, Grandchildren Shayne Jr, Mya, and Morgan, nieces and nephews, and many other relatives and lifelong friends.
The family will receive friends at Lee Funeral Home Calvert, 8200 Jennifer Lane, Owings, MD 20736 on Friday, March 31, 2023 from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm and Saturday, April 1, 2023 from 10:00 am – 11:00 am where a Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am in the Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be private.
He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. “I’ll see you on the other side”.
