William "Bill" Henry Scoble

William "Bill" Henry Scoble, age 71, of Temple Hills, MD passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, March 21, 2021 with his wife Sue by his side. He was born in Wilkes Barre, PA on November 7, 1949 to the late Harry and Anne Scoble. Bill was a Vietnam Veteran of the United States Marine Corps (USMC), a retired Metropolitan Police detective and an employee of Complete Building Services. He loved his country and strongly supported all veterans. He was a life long member of VFW 9376 where he served two terms as Commander, a member of American Legion 259, and Columbia DC Moose Lodge 126. In addition to his loving wife Sue, Bill is also survived by his daughter Erin, son Matthew, sisters Anne and Geraldine, brother Marty, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers John and Paul, and two sisters Cathy and Patsy. There will be a Celebration of Life on Friday, March 26, 2021 from 6PM to 8PM. A VFW service will start at 7PM followed by the family speaking briefly. Internment will be held on Thursday, April 1st, 2021 at Cheltenham Maryland Veterans Cemetery located at 11301 Crain Highway, Cheltenham, MD.
