William J. Buckley

William J. Buckley of Fort Washington, Maryland, passed away on Sunday, January 19, 2025 in Chesapeake Beach, Maryland at the age of 84.

Bill was a retired steamfitter and member of Steamfitters UA Local 602. An avid gardener who grew beautiful flowers, trees and the best tomatoes ever, he was also incredibly talented in the kitchen and never afraid to experiment, especially with seafood. He loved watching documentaries about UFOs and aliens, Commanders games, and feeding the birds. He was always fixing something around the house or making it better, providing invaluable guidance for which we'll always be grateful. He will live in our hearts forever.

 Born in Washington, DC to the late Lola A. Buckley and William J. Buckley, he is also predeceased by his beloved wife of 48 years, Sharon Buckley and survived by his children Anne Cooper, Theresa Ray and William H. Buckley, sister Dolores Buckley, and granddaughter Morgan (Zack) Lucas.

Visitation on Friday, January 31, 2025 from 2:00-4:00 PM and 6:00-7:00 PM with Funeral Service at 7:00 PM at Lee Funeral Home, 6633 Old Alexandria Ferry Road, Clinton, MD, followed by interment at Resurrection Cemetery, 8000 Woodyard Road, Clinton, MD on Saturday,  February 1, 2025 at 11:00 AM.
