William Alan Cope, Sr.

William “Bill” Alan Cope, Sr. age 56, of Landover Hills, Maryland passed away on Sunday September 8, 2013 with his family by his side. He is the loving father of William Alan Cope, Jr. and his wife Betty, Jeremy Wayne Cope and his wife Autumn and Sheena Marie Adams. He is also the brother of Thomas Basinger, Cecil Basinger, Glenda Simmons, Janet Linton, and Nita Sanford. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Chancie Cope and Gabe Cope. He was the loving son of the late Glenn Cope and Juanita Basinger.Bill was an avid Redskins fan. He also enjoyed watching movies and playing computer games. He worked as a security guard most of his life and attended Trinity Assembly of God Church in Lanham, Maryland. Bill was an all around good guy, loved by his children and “grandbabies”.
