William Alfonso Jones, Sr., 67, of Oxon Hill, MD passed away November 23, 2022.

William was born May 6, 1955 in Mercer, NJ to William Randolph and the late Shirley (Covingtin) Jones. William attended the public schools of Perth Amboy, NJ, graduated high school and enlisted in the United States Army in 1977. He retired as Sergeant out of the United States Army. Upon retirement he became an entrepreneur and became his own boss. He took up an interest in drag racing and became a member of the DMV RC OUTLAWS (Home of the fastest CT Cars and Bracket Champions).

He was preceded in death by his sister, April Jackson Pinckney.

He is survived by his children, Kimberly (Bobby) Porter of Dillon, SC and William (Angel) Jones II of Fayetteville, NC; three granddaughters; Nicole Seals of Atlanta, Ga., Zi’Kera and ZaMiya Porter of Dillon, SC; his father William R. (Lucy) Jones of Springhill, Massachusetts; two sisters, Lisa Jones of Woodbridge, NJ and Yvonne Ranson of Atlanta, GA; and one brother, Anthony (Betsy) Jones, Sr. of Perth Amboy, NJ; special nephews, Darius Beale and Anthony Jones of Perth Amboy, NJ; one special niece Katora (Caesar) Jones; two special God-sons David Chase and Avery Houston; a very special friend, Wendy Houston of Oxon Hill, Maryland; and a host of nieces, nephews other relatives.

Services will be private for the immediate family.
