William John "Billy" Lore, 62, of LaPlata, Maryland, passed away on May 31, 2024. He was born on May 30, 1962, in Newport, Rhode Island.

In his youth he was known for his love of baseball and football with the Allentown Boys & Girls Club. He continued with his passion for sports by playing High School Football at Friendly High School.

Billy graduated from Friendly High School in 1981. He went on to work for the pipe fitter’s union until 1985 when he suffered from a Traumatic Brain Injury from a car accident. He enjoyed visiting with friends and family. He continued to draw, play his guitar, and he had a love for motorcycles and muscle cars. 

He is survived by his father Wayne L. Lore, Siblings: Donna (Lore) Schultz, Gale (Lore) Walton (Dennis), Wayne L. Lore II, Kelley (Lore) Beland (Scott), Kandy Lore, and Lynn (Lore) Smithburger (David). Nephews: William “Billy” Adams (Gina), Jeffrey Walton (Kelly), Scott Beland II, David Smithburger, Jr., Nieces: Darlene Eischen (Brian), Stacey Merchant (Brandon), Jessica Guinter, and Myranda Smithburger. Great Nephews: Daniel Adams, Nathan Adams, Joseph Archazki, Hunter Walton, Caden Walton, Ethan Truman, Andrew McKenzie, Jr (AJ). Logan Merchant, and August Guinter. Great Nieces: Destinee McKenzie, Aanyah Schultz, Maycee Guinter, Ashlynn Merchant and Ember Eischen.

Billy was preceded in death by his mother Brenda J. (Pentz) Lore, his paternal grandparents LaRue (Rudy) and Edna Lore, his maternal grandparents John and Violet Pentz, and his brother-in-law Doug Schultz.

A visitation for Billy will be held at Lee Funeral Home in Clinton, Maryland, on Wednesday, June 26, 2024, from 6pm to 8pm, with a service at 7pm. 

A burial service for Billy will be held at Salem Cemetery, Unityville, Pennsylvania, on Saturday, June 29, 2024 at 11am.
