William Paul Moore

William P. Moore Lt. Col. USAF Retired\n\nOn September 8, 2011, at the age of 91. Preceded in death by his first wife Dorothy J. Moore and his second wife Rita L. Moore. Proud father of Mary Kay Kelly, Barbara Jacobs, Susan Moore, Elizabeth Hanczaryk and Maureen Warner. Adored by his numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. \n Colonel Moore was born in East St. Louis, Illinois and graduated from the University of Illinois. He served his country as a meteorologist for the Air Force through WWII and the Korean and Vietnam Wars. After military retirement, he forecast for the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Adm., followed by nearly two decades of volunteer work at Andrews Air Force Base. \n Visitation is from 6-8PM on Monday, September 12 at the Lee Funeral Home in Clinton, MD.
