William B. Waldecker

William B. Waldecker “Bill”, 98, of Gaithersburg, MD, died on December 26, 2015. Born in Washington, DC, he is the son of the late Grace Adelaid and Udo Bernard Waldecker. Bill was inducted into the US ARMY in 1941 and served during WWII. He was honorably discharged receiving the Good Conduct Medal, American Defense Service Ribbon, American Theater Service Ribbon, European African Middle Eastern Service Ribbon and the World War II Victory Ribbon. Beloved father of Barbara Jean Benko of Columbia, MD, Kathleen “Kathy” Ann Taylor (Jim) of Gaithersburg, MD, Donna Jean Hasker of Melbourne, FL and John Stackhouse (Kay) of Columbia, MD; dear grandfather of Debra DeFrank, Denise Walsh, Michelle Warner, Heather Taylor, David Hasker and Jennifer Peters. Also survived by 16 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. In additions to his siblings, Bill was predeceased by his wife, the late Doris M. Waldecker in 2010.
